If drainage work on the railway is the direction you’d like to take, Pro Rail Academy offers courses covering inspection and maintenance of cess drains, catchpits and culverts, confined space entry and high-pressure jetting.
Track drainage assets such as cess drains, catchpits, culverts and outfalls carry water away from the railway, and they need regular inspection and maintenance. Our drainage courses cover that work: technician-level training in inspecting and maintaining these assets, confined space entry training specific to culverts and chambers, and a high-pressure jetting technician course.
The confined space course runs for one to three days and includes risk assessment, atmospheric testing and practical entry, exit and rescue procedures.
If you’re interested in surveying drainage as well, the Track Drainage CCTV Surveyor course sits in our surveying and engineering courses. Every course is externally accredited, and if you’d like help choosing, get in touch.
